“I just finished reading your book and I must say it was truly an eye opener. I just got it Friday through
Barnes and Noble and in the past two days I just couldn't put the book down. I'm not going to be like most fans and say,
'Okay, the facts were things we already knew about,' because though some fans had transcripts and posted them on message boards, some left things out and only used excerpts for others to see. I must say every account was as if I was in the courtroom,
and it was as descriptive and honest. Unlike the news reports and
the liars that reported their 'facts,' you really opened up a lot.
"I have to say the way you exposed Martin Bashir was very well done. It stuns me how arrogant and bold he was to call himself
'breaking' the salacious story on Jackson but like a coward, refuse to answer any questions that he knew he had to be confronted with. What's twice as stunning is that he's working over at
ABC as if nothing was wrong and even boasted about that disastrous interview/mockumentary afterwards called
'Michael Jackson's Boys' which included the idiotic interview with Corey Feldman.
“There is one thing that sticks out for me, which is the way the testimony of the Arvizo's were told so eloquent and accurate that it all makes sense -- like the charity events for Gavin at Neverland. I was taken away how Entertainment Tonight was mentioned over and over about how they tried to reach the Arvizo's after the Bashir documentary. I know another reason why they were so anxious to speak with Janet as well, and my memory serves me well because I have the memory of an elephant. Not too long before that 'Living With Michael Jackson' mess, Entertainment Tonight covered the HUGE CHARITY PARTY at Neverland and it was their big story. Right away, I remembered that the same huge charity party where Michael even had his fans donate to take part in a Willy Wonka type party which his people said it was for Make-A-Wish. But in your book I knew right away it wasn't make a wish because their kids weren't there -- it was open to the public and there were NO busloads of kids, and it was open to the public to make donations. Right then I knew it was Gavin's charity drive. "It was where he arranged fans with golden tickets (depending on how much they gave) to spend the day and at Neverland and put on the works with music, food, entertainment like magic shows -- you name it -- Jackson put on the works. To where Michael appeared at the night party which turned into what Entertainment Tonight called Club Neverland and they had a little cake fight and Michael thanked everyone and Ashanti performed and celebrities like Mike Tyson, Aaron and Nick Carter, Rodney Jerkins, and others came out in full force. It just irked me how the Arvizo family could easily forget that and say Michael hasn't done anything for them. "Another thing that stuck out for me was that you're the only one that told the truth concerning Deborah Rowe. The media tried to say that Debbie only wanted visitation but I knew that the truth would come out and somebody would stop trying to downplay what Ms. Rowe really was after, even though her testimony was a blow to the prosecution. Just her helping the prosecution would ring the alarm for me as well if I was in his position because she had to say something to have the Santa Barbara sheriffs put her on the witness stand. Steve Robel couldn't have made everything up about what Ms. Rowe told them as she cooperated with police. What was really something was how many volumes of evidence Mesereau was ready to present against Ms. Rowe had she took another turn in her testimony. I would like to thank you for such an honest, and bold account of each key witness in the trial that was considered as 'the Circus of the Century.'
"If people would have paid attention to testimony and not focus their attention on the sensationalism, they would understand that Michael Jackson wasn't on trial for molestation. He was on trial for being at times susceptible to manipulative thieves who had a sick and twisted way to operate. They would immerse themselves in his life and played on his sympathy while others would just go for the dough in the worst way after their cash cow.
"I have to say I learned a lot as I read these amazing accounts and I can't thank you enough for your time, effort and courage to come out with this amazing book. Another word of thanks goes to
Tom Mesereau for not only his support and honest foreword, but for his amazing job in standing for justice and staying humble though he's who I would describe as the best and charismatic defense attorney. He went in, did his homework and handled each and every witness with such flair, poise and candor that after reading this book and remembering what the "press" reported the experience was surreal. I only hope that the truth reaches every home so people will understand the facts and not buy into the fiction that was reported and wildly exaggerated each day of that agonizing trial.
"Thanks Miss Jones for your ACCURATE account and God Bless you in your future endeavors!" Yours Truly, |
