'Respect Where Respect Is Due'

"As I read from one chapter to the next it struck me by surprise that the general public was not familiar with this information.  If one was interested certainly the information was out there.  I realize it's hard for me to guage what was common knowledge because I'm such a big fan and followed up thoroughly everyday.  I am just relieved that it is all spelled out in one place by someone who has no benefit in deceiving the public.  The way you conveyed Bashir's character and laid out the manipulative interview tactics was so effective that it exasperated me.  I found myself feeling frustrated, melancholy and sickened after reading it.  This man ought to be brought up [on] charges!

"I am a hypersensitive person and hold the human spirit in my highest regard.  When a kindred spirit is wounded the pain resonates through the thread that connects us.  It is beyond my comprehension how one could take sadistic pleasure in tearing at that fabric, tormenting souls, wreaking havoc through humiliation and betrayal, leaving behind it's casualties and go through life prosperous, contented and seemingly unaccountable.

"I loved the part where you describe how smitten Michael was with the flight attendant.  That made me laugh.  When you pointed out that he mentioned his affinity for stewardesses beforehand to Bashir it definitely showed a consistency.  It was an astute observation.  Most importantly, it humanized him and confirmed along with his girly magazines, he absolutely has a taste for beautiful women. It validated him in the sense of normalcy, being a regular guy and [having] sexually virility.  Just look at his nanny and his publicist.  (As a footnote:  it is widely known in the MJ community that he is also smitten with Beyoncé.  I thought it would be fun to attach a photo of them hugging at an award show.  It's like MJ forgot where he was...lol.) 

"I was intrigued by the thought of your experiencing this epiphany unfolding moment by moment because of your insightfulness and willingness to be proven wrong.  I found myself imagining if I could have been a fly on the wall, knowing about you what I know now, I would have watched everything going on in the courtroom and constantly looked over at you to read your reaction. 

"I want to thank you for giving clarity to his finances.  I worry about that sort of thing even though I've done some research and heard conflicting versions I give this one full credibility and it puts my mind at ease.  Sony ATV purchased 2 more catalogues this spring increasing their net worth by another $400 million, roughly. 

"I thank you most for showing Michael so much respect, constantly referring to him as the King Of Pop and as powerful in the music industry.  You painted a vivid picture when you described the aura and allure of the King Of Pop even in the face of his enemies.  I deduced that you believe he is the most successful recording artist in history.  Bar None.  In all ways that can be quantified, this can't be denied, and you gave respect where respect was due. 

"Your book is the polish on the King Of Pop's tarnished crown!  Tarnished or otherwise it is rightfully his until someone else achieves and exceeds what he has accomplished from childhood to adulthood.  Successfully transcending race, age, culture, and social backgrounds -- blazing a trail so far into the stratosphere that it's lapped infinity at least once!  And whether reviled or revered, all the while maintaining our fascination with an unparalleled intensity.  We often talk about the King Of Pop's obsessions, but we rarely talk about our obsession with him. 

"Godspeed as you continue your crusade.  What you have done is selfless and beautiful.  I welcome you as a kindred spirit.  Thank you for the journey."
