June 13, 2007; 6 - 8 p.m. - Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County - Benefit

On the anniversary of Michael Jackson's exoneration, Aphrodite Jones appeared on Good Day Florida, a popular morning show that reaches thousands of Floridians. She was interviewed by African-American journalist Trina Robinson, who was extremely excited about Michael Jackson Conspiracy. Trina told viewers that the book belonged on The New York Times bestseller list and was hopeful that mainstream media would be willing to take this topic on. On that same day, Jones also did a VIP Book signing to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, which was attended by hundreds of people. After two hours of signing books, Jones was honored by the Boys & Girls Club for the publication of Michael Jackson Conspiracy. In a separate ceremony, Jones was thanked by representatives of the 1,000 children in Florida, who received donations and support from the VIPs in attendance. All proceeds from the initial sales of Michael Jackson Conspiracy went directly to charity.

At the Brookins Community A.M.E. Church, Aphrodite Jones signed 100 copies of Michael Jackson Conspiracy. The event was attended by Thomas A. Mesereau, Jr., and Rev. Frederick Murph. Tom Mesereau gave an impassioned speech about Michael Jackson's innocence. Aphrodite Jones answered intimate questions about the media bias during the Michael Jackson trial. The proceeds of all book sales in Los Angeles sales went directly to the Free Legal Clinic started by Mesereau at the Brookins Community A.M.E. Church. The clinic is there for people who cannot afford legal advice and is funded entirely by charitable efforts. For anyone who wants to donate to the clinic, there are a limited number of signed copies of Michael Jackson Conspiracy still available for purchase at the Brookins Community A.M.E. Church. The cost is $26.00 -- no tax will be charged.

June 10, 2007 - Brookins Community A.M.E. Church Gala Event

Aphrodite Jones received The Outstanding Journalist Of The Year Award at an AME event attended by Gov. Arnold Schwarnegger, L.A. Police Chief William Bratton, and many other luminaries. The event celebrated 10 years of services by the Brookins Community A.M.E. Church, and during the VIP hour, Jones signed copies of Michael Jackson Conspiracy. In her award acceptance speech, Jones addressed a crowd of 2,000 people to tell them about her new journalistic effort, about the media conspiracy that exists, and asked them to "give Michael a chance." Jones was later approached by numerous attendees, who were touched by her efforts to restore Michael Jackson's image.
